ECOViP “Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Ecotourism to support sustainable development in Vietnam and the Philippines” is a project co-funded by Erasmus+ program that aims to develop entrepreneurial and innovation capacities for sustainable development in tourism in Vietnam and the Philippines.

With ECOViP, the quality of higher education and its labor competitiveness is expected to enhance, improving the level of competences, skills and employability potential of HEI students and stimulating the cooperation between institutions and the exchange of good practices.

The initiative is also aligned with both countries’ priorities to improve the employability and entrepreneurship potential of their graduates and boost the Tourism sector (in particular through the fostering of more sustainable Tourism initiatives) which has been highly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines, through its ECOViP PUP Chapter, has officially introduced the Ecohub Appointment Scheduling System — a streamlined digital platform designed to help students, known affectionately as TourISKOs, reserve time and access the university's Ecotourism Laboratory Hub with ease and accountability.

The Ecotourism Laboratory Hub serves as a hands-on learning environment where students can engage with topics ranging from sustainable tourism planning and eco-destination management to conservation strategies and responsible travel practices. With the new scheduling system now in place, access to this shared resource is more organized, equitable, and aligned with the hub's mission of promoting sustainable use.
